I don't know about you but I can't stand bottled Alfredo sauce! It tastes awful in my opinion (no disrespect to those of you that like it, it's just not my cup of tea!)
I've been making this Alfredo sauce for as long as I can remember and I always get requests for the recipe. The best thing about it? It's delish and so EASY and I love that my kids devour it!
Alfredo Sauce
1 cup butter
3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1 block of cream cheese
Milk to thin
Shredded Parmesan cheese to top
Combine the butter, whipping cream, and cream cheese in a sauce pan. Constant stir with a whisk on medium heat until boiling. Add milk to thin. I like mine kinda thick so I don't add that much milk, maybe 1/2 cup. Top with Parmesan cheese.
I like to add sauteed mushrooms and chicken to top my pasta. The chicken is really simple. Just cube raw chicken then cook in a frying pan in olive oil and lemon pepper until no longer pink in the middle. The mushrooms I saute in butter and little bit of fresh garlic.
