My mom has been carting around this antique lamp for as long as I can remember. It was my great grandma's. Its really cool- but broken.
My mom decided to ask me if I wanted to repair and put it in my house. That was about a year ago. I finally decided what I wanted to do with it. I thought that I would buy a lighting kit and try to rewire it- but I was afraid it would short out and start my house on fire. SOOOO I decided to make it a GIANT candle stick.
I had some left over red spray paint from another project- and of course I ALWAYS have glaze on hand.

Before Glaze:
I went to Walmart and picked up $2 work of candles. I also repainted a wood sign that I had and found a stray strand of these red berries in my basement. So this project cost me $2 because I had most everything laying around the house :) Love it when that happens.
I also painted my front door. This would have only cost me about $25 to do- but the first color I chose was.....not a good choice. So I went back to the paint store and spent another $18 on this new country blue. I LOVE how this color turned out. I also love the contrast of red with it. Now my front porch looks a little more welcoming.
